- Pre-employment/new hire (drug test only)
- Reasonable Suspicion (drug and alcohol test)

- Random Testing - Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) must be placed in a random testing pool with the ratio of 25% drug & 10% alcohol annual rate.
WHO MUST COMPLY WITH THE FEDERAL REQUIREMENT
The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has a wide scoop of required specialty areas including Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), adopted regulations requiring certain commercial motor vehicle operators to be tested for alcohol and drugs in order to reach the goal of alcohol and drug-free transportation environment. Part 40 applies to all DOT-required testing, regardless of mode of transportation.
